Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Numero Astro (numero-astro.com) is operated by IVY SPIRES GROUP LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, DE 19901, USA. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact for anything about your data: support@numero-astro.com. This policy gives you the information required by Articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR and the UK GDPR.
2. What we collect and where it comes from
While full reports are not yet open: the free calculator on our home page works entirely in your browser. The dates you choose are not sent to us and are not stored. The rest of this policy describes what happens once you buy a report.
We collect only what we need to make your report:
- About you: your date of birth; optionally your time and place of birth; your answers to the quiz (for example how long you have been together and what you would like to understand); your email address, if you give it.
- About your partner: their date of birth; optionally their time and place of birth. We never ask for your partner’s name, email address or photo.
- Reviews, if you leave one: your rating, your text, whether we may publish it, your first name if you choose to show it, the order it relates to, and the discount code we give you as a thank-you.
- Purchases: what you bought, the amount, currency and country, and the payment reference. Your card details are collected and stored by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- Technical data: device and browser information, IP address, pages visited and the time of visits, recorded by our hosting provider’s systems and strictly necessary cookies (see section 8).
Sources: directly from you, from Stripe (payment status), and from your browser or device.
Your partner’s data. When you enter someone else’s birth details, please make sure they would be comfortable with it, and let them know about this policy. We keep their details only as part of your report and never contact them. Your partner can ask us to delete their details at any time by writing to support@numero-astro.com (see section 7).
Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
- To make and deliver your report and add-ons, and to send your receipt and PDF — performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To process your partner’s birth details for your report — our and your legitimate interest in providing the report you asked for (Art. 6(1)(f)), with data limited to birth details and no name.
- To handle refunds, withdrawals and support requests — contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
- Payments, accounting and tax — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Security, fraud prevention and keeping the service working — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Occasional emails about “your year ahead” and new readings — only if you tick the box (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe in one click in any email.
- One reminder if you leave checkout without paying — only if you tick “Remind me once” (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)). We send at most one email within 24 hours and never mention your answers in it.
- Asking once for a review and thanking you with a discount code — legitimate interest in learning what buyers think (Art. 6(1)(f)); you can opt out in one click. Publishing your review — only if you choose it on the form (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw your consent at any time and we'll take the review down.
- Defending legal claims — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. How your report is made (automated processing)
Your numbers and both birth charts are calculated automatically, and your report is written by software we built from our own interpretation texts. No person reads or writes individual reports. This is profiling in the sense of the GDPR because the content is personalised to your data, but it produces no legal or similarly significant effect on you (Art. 22). It is for entertainment and self-reflection.
5. Who receives your data
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, under data-processing agreements:
- Stripe — payments and fraud checks (USA, EU);
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, protection against abuse and cookie-free visit statistics (global network);
- Supabase — database and file storage for reports (Frankfurt, Germany);
- an email delivery provider — sending your receipt, PDF and, if you agreed, our emails;
- GoDaddy — our support mailbox.
When needed, we also share data with professional advisers (accountants, lawyers), who are bound by confidentiality, and with public authorities where the law requires it.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to our pages and to each step of the quiz. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, builds no profile of you and does not follow you to other sites; we only see totals, such as how many visits a page had and from which country. Your birth dates and quiz answers are never sent to it. We switch these statistics on only if you tap “Allow statistics” in the banner (your consent); if you tap “No thanks” or ignore the banner, nothing is sent. You can change your choice at any time with “Statistics settings” at the bottom of every page. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser’s storage so we don’t ask again. We do not use advertising services.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
We are based in the USA, so if you live in the EU, EEA or UK, your data is transferred to the USA. Where a provider is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension), we rely on that certification. Otherwise we use the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK addendum. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards.
7. How long we keep your data
- Your report, birth details and quiz answers: until you delete them, and at most 24 months after your last visit to your report.
- Purchase and tax records: 10 years, as required for EU VAT (One-Stop Shop) records. These records are kept without your birth details or answers.
- Email marketing: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
- Reviews: until you ask us to delete them or delete your data; a published review is taken down within 7 days of your request.
- Security logs: up to 12 months.
- Backups: deleted data disappears from our backups within 30 days.
Deleting your data. Use the “Delete my data” link in any of our emails or on your report page, or email support@numero-astro.com. To protect you, we send a confirmation link to the email address linked to your order; once you click it, your report, birth details, your partner’s details and your answers are deleted straight away, and we confirm by email. We keep only the purchase records the law requires us to keep, and we may keep data related to an open refund or payment dispute until it is closed.
8. Cookies
Our website uses only strictly necessary cookies, set by our hosting provider Cloudflare to protect the site from abuse and, once reports open, to run the quiz, checkout and your report page. They do not track you across other sites. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies (our visit statistics work without cookies). If this changes, we will update this section and, in the EU, EEA and UK, ask for your consent first.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to support@numero-astro.com. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity. If you live in the EU or EEA, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence; in the UK, to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
US residents. We do not sell your personal information. Where a US state privacy law applies to us, you have the rights it gives you (to know, delete, correct and opt out of targeted advertising). Use the same email address, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
10. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, data minimisation (no partner names, no stored card numbers) and contracts with our providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the law or our service changes. The current version is always on this page, with its date. If a change is significant, we will show a notice on the site and, if you gave us your email, tell you by email.
